My name is Sophie- and I'm SO glad you're here!

I've been drawn to drawing (ha!) my entire life. From drawing anime characters as a teen - to studying oil painting in college - to discovering watercolors in a class on Miami Beach. Art has been in my life for as long as I can remember.

So it may surprise you that I've only just starting calling myself an ‘ARTIST’.

Up until 2026, I believed that I didn't deserve the title of ‘artist’ because it was only my hobby (and not full-time job). But I'm here to tell you I'm DONE thinking that way.

I firmly believe that creativity of any kind (embroidery, dancing, cooking, etc.) makes you an ARTIST- whether or not you make money from it.

I'm here to encourage you to pick up the art form you've been thinking about, and just CREATE!

There are many reasons to create art. Below are my Art Goals that I hope will inspire you to create.

Sophie's Art Goals:

  • To experience the "flow state" by making art daily.

  • To observe the gorgeous world we live in. Check out my Watercolors in the Wild series, where I paint outdoors in different locations, from parks to zoos.

  • To work through deep emotions like grief. I recently lost my soul-pup, and it's been my first real experience with grief. Art has TRULY helped me navigate this chapter of my life.

  • To share my own perspective, start conversations, and foster community. I believe creating is the ultimate form of resistance.

  • To inspire others to create outside their 9-to-5!

I'd love to hear from you… What's one creative activity you've been wanting to try? Email me or send me a message on Instagram (see below).
